Richard Blackwell is an Australian Artist living in Chicago. Based In printmedia, Blackwell's interdisciplinary work creates an account of the experience of living and interacting in our current social reality: An experience which is the result of countless phenomenological interactions and relationships that are mediated by technology, ideology and the concrete structure of the built environment. 

Richard is a recent Alumni and Faculty member of SAIC, and a founding Director of Fernwey Gallery. Although he is leaving Chicago, he intends to continue his involvement in the gallery from afar.
